Do not worry about tomorrow
It was William Ellery Channing who wrote: “Difficulties are meant to rouse, not discourage. The human spirit is to grow strong by conflict.”
It was Alexander Smith who wrote: “A man gazing on the stars is proverbially at the mercy of the puddles on the road.”
It was John Keats who wrote: “What quality went to form a man of achievement.”
It was Pierre de Ronsard who wrote: “Live now, believe me, wait not till tomorrow; Gather the roses of life today.”
It was Oliver Wendell Holmes who wrote: “We are tattooed in our cradles with the beliefs of our tribe.”
The following words were authored by Anonymous:
“It was only a sunny smile,
But it scattered the night
And little it cost in the giving;
Like morning light,
And made the day worth living.”
And, it was Corrie ten Boom who said, “Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow; it empties today of its strength.”
I wonder if her sentiment is what Jesus had in mind when he said, “...Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.” Matthew 6:34
Just food for thought and meditation.
