Every child is a beautiful & unigue creation & within our First Kids Ministry we strive to provide many different learning styles for your child to soak up the Bible and grow closer to God.

Showing children a little piece of the Kingdom of God is the goal of every Children's Ministry Staff & Volunteer here at First-Centenary.  Every Firsy Kids gathering, wheather it is Sunday School, Celebrations of the Church Year, Special Events, or Summer Programs embraces the creativity & wonder of all children by openning new doors of exploration & thought in each individual little mind!

Understanding & relationships with our Heavenly Father is the ultimate goal!  We believe the best way to reach our children is when the two largest individual influences, the church & the home life, come together to create the greatest impact on our littles.  Join us, as together we learn & grow on this amazing God journey of life!

* We, the First Kids at FCUMC, use the Orange Curriculum Strategy.

Family Sunday

Happy FAMILY Sunday everyone!

During this tricky time we will be uploading weekly video presentations that go along with our current First Look and 252 Bible Stories.

We would love for you and your wonderful kiddos to take this time to worship together as a family with us in our virtual church.

This March we are talking all about Forgiveness down in First Kids. Forgiveness is deciding someone who has wronged you... doesn’t have to pay!

PICTURE Scavenger Hunt:  Week 2

Sometimes being stuck in the same place... makes us a little antisy.  We have to look a little harder to see God's amaing gifts.  We have to dig a little deeper to find ways to keep joy in our lives (and in our attitudes.)  Spend time reading the Bible.  Focus on Him and your day will all of a sudden become a little brighter.

This week I challenge you to a virtual scavenger hunt!  Grab your iPad, camera, or cell phone and get ready!  BONUS POINTS will be awarded for anyone that can figure out how the object you're looking for relates to a Bible Story!  Make sure share your pictures on the First Kids FB Group.

Get Ready... Get Set... GO!

Rainbow Salt Art:  Week 1

Have you ever just sat still and wondered about Noah and his HUGE ark? The feelings each person on that HUGE BOAT must have been thinking? “Just as God told Noah, it began to rain. First just a little. Then big raindrops pounded the earth. Hundreds of raindrops. Thousands. Millions. Billions. Trillions! And Noah’s Ark, which carried Noah, His family, and every kind of animal in the world, started to float.”

How scary and terrifying that must have been! Something was happening to the world that had never happened before.

But they didn’t need to worry! God had them! He was holding them afloat!
Trust Me, My child, and don’t be afraid. I can take care of My children. Just as a mother bird covers her babies with her wings to protect them, I cover you with promises of My Love. When you see a rainbow in the sky, remember My loving care of Noah’s family. Then think about how much I love you!     ~  Jesus Calling Bible Storybook

Activity:
Here’s an unusual way to create a beautiful rainbow. To make this pretty picture, you’ll draw with glue instead of a pencil. Salt and watercolor paint will bring your rainbow’s vivid colors to life. Try it for yourself – there’s no wrong way to create this fun masterpiece! DIY it your OWN WAY or use the steps below.
