FEED Small Groups - High School Only
October 27, 2019
This is our second FEED of the school year! We hope many of our high school students will be able to attend!

All high school students who are interested in participating in FEED will meet after church and we will all (girls and guys) go downtown somewhere for lunch. Then we will come back to the church and have small group. Last month the students who were present decided on some topics to discuss so we will have a discussion around one of those topics, but if you have any ideas for other topics we hope you will share those with us as well!

We will meet in the student center after church. We will be finished by 3:00 pm.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS: The FEED dates for the school year are 10/27, 11/17, 1/5, 2/16, 3/29, 4/19, 5/17

Community Fall Festival!
Wednesday, October 23rd
Our Annual Community Fall Festival is in just a few weeks! This is by far our biggest event of the year! We expect 800 or more people to attend. There will be giant inflatables, a 9 hole putt-putt golf course, a free meal, trunk or treating, face painting, balloon animals, and more!

A great time is sure to be had by all, BUT we also need volunteers! The main point of this festival is to reach people in the community, so we need our church members to help us out! If you are interested in volunteering (supervising an inflatable, handing out popcorn, serving food, etc.) please let us know and we can give you more information!

This will be Wednesday, October 23rd from 5pm to 8pm. This will replace our normal Wednesday night program.

We Need Your Feedback!
Take Our Survey!
Some of our parents have shown interest in us starting a Sunday night program. We want to hear from all our students and parents about whether this would work with your schedule. Please take our short survey to help us figure out if enough interest is there for us to pursue a Sunday night program! The survey shouldn't take more than 5 minutes!!

First FEED of the school year!
THIS Sunday!
FEED is something we are constantly trying to improve and make better. For our first week, our priority will be gauging interest and commitment from the students and seeing if we have enough students to be able to split into girls and guys groups in the future.

All high school students who are interested in participating in FEED will meet after church and we will all (girls and guys) go downtown somewhere for lunch. Then we will come back to the church and have small group. We will work together to decide what we would like to talk about and study this year. We would love all of our student's input so please come with your ideas and thoughts! We hope our high school students will take advantage of this opportunity for a smaller group gathering where we hope to dive into deeper and more personal topics.

We will meet in the student center after church. We will be finished by 3:00 pm.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS: The FEED dates for the school year are 9/29, 10/27, 11/17, 1/5, 2/16, 3/29, 4/19, 5/17

Free Meals Campaign

Free Meals Campaign
An anonymous donor has volunteered to match all donations given in the month of September up to $2,250! That means if you give to our campaign during September your money will be doubled!!! PLEASE HELP US REACH OUR GOAL!
Each year we ask families of the church to donate money towards our Sunday & Wednesday meals. This is a lot easier than asking parents to sign up to bring breakfasts and dinners like we used to and cheaper as well.

If 36 of our youth's families donate $150 then we will have enough money to pay for ALL of our meals for the entire school year. Give the full amount or give part of the amount monthly or in whatever way you would like. Some choose to give $50 per month for 3 months or $25 a month for six months. Any amount is helpful.

So far we have received $800. To give, simply write a check, write "Free Meals Campaign" or "Youth Meals" in the memo line and drop it in the offering plate on Sunday or send it with your child on Wednesday night.

Special "Triple P" Event - Sir Goony's!
Sunday, September 15th
On Sunday, September 15th, we will have a special Sunday "Triple P" Event. We are going to meet in the student center after church and go somewhere for lunch before heading to Sir Goony's! There are a lot of options for what youth can do. Mini Golf is $8 for one course and $10 for two. Youth can also pay $20 to have access to 3 attractions and 4 game room tokens. We suggest youth bring $30 to $35 for lunch and Sir Goony's (depending on what they are interested in doing). We will be back at the church by 4pm!

Parent Council Meeting
September 11, 2019
Most changes that take place in the student ministry are a result of either the Youth Council or the Parent Council. The Youth Council is more focused on events while the Parent Council focuses on the ministry nuts and bolts (organization, education, procedures, training and structure).

It is the venue in which parents and volunteers who genuinely care about the ministry get to talk about concerns and posit solutions. The creativity and dedication of previous parent councils have played a major role in the stability, effectiveness, and growth of our student ministry. If you really want to make a difference then this is a great place to plug in!

Our First Parent Council Meeting will be Wednesday, September 11th! All parents of youth are welcome to attend and bring their ideas! We will meet from 6pm-7pm in the Confirmation classroom in the student center. Hope you can join us!
