Young Adults / College
"Y.A.M." (Young Adult Ministry) is the name of our College / Young Adult ministry. The year 2012 is set to be a milestone year for us. There are big plans in the works that will dramatically improve our already growing young adult ministry. Starting with a new staff position dedicated to outreach to college age students. Also, there are plans for a new gathering room just for our college / young adults. The new room will be located in the Student Center (1st floor on the west end of the Nave building - corner of Lindsay & Oak St.) and is expected to be completed by August 2012.
Our hope and vision for college students is for them to have a chance to bump into Jesus at First-Centenary. We long for them to know that God is crazy about them. We pray that students will be able to connect with the Creator and know that they are truly loved right where they are, just as they are.
Sunday Morning Worship - There is one "contemporary" style and two "traditional" style services to choose from:
- The Early NAVE Service @ 8:30 a.m.
- The Late NAVE Service @ 10:45 a.m.
- The VINE Service @ 10:45 a.m.
We have FREE lunch for all college students on the last Sunday of every month. Show up in the Oak Street Center lobby after the morning services (approx. Noon).
Wednesday Night - College Students eat free @ 5:15 p.m. in the Oak Street Center and Bible Study follows @ 6 p.m.
