 Harry Howe - Marion, Virginia
Harry is a Board of Global Ministries missionary serving as a Church and Community worker in Marion, VA as the Executive Director of Project Crossroads. Project Crossroads is an outreach ministry designed to address the basic needs of people in that area, alleviate human suffering, and provide an avenue to witness the gospel of Jesus Christ. Rev. Howe works with agencies, churches and local organizations in a 7 county area to identify and assist with housing needs for the elderly, handicapped and low income families.
Maria Humbane - Mutare, Zimbabwe
Maria is a missionary with the Board of Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church assigned to church and community ministries in Mutare, Zimbabwe. She established a project of rehabilitation of homeless children and unwed mothers in Mutare.
 Fran Lynch - Alaska
Fran is a Deaconess and missionary with the Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church assigned to the Willow Anvik Grayling Church and Community Ministry in Alaska. One-third of Ms. Lynch’s time is spent in Anvik and Grayling which are Athabaskan Indian villages located on the Yukon River about 400 miles west of Willow. These villages are accessible only by air, dog sled, or boat. She goes by invitation of the Tribal Councils to provide Sunday school for the children. There are no active churches in these villages and the parents of the children remembered going to Sunday school and wanted this experience for their children. In the summer the children fly into Anchorage to attend Brichwood UMC Camp.
 Ray and Linda Zirkel- Costa Rica
In 1995, the Zirkels were invited by Dr. Luis Palomo, Bishop, to minister with the Methodist Church in Costa Rica. Ray is an ordained elder in the Methodist Church and serves as a professor at the Evangelical Methodist Seminary. In addition, Ray is a member of the Board of Directors of the Methodist High School and Elementary School; and, he helps to plant and develop local congregations. They are currently working with the child welfare agency and the Methodist Church to build a children’s home in San José. Ray and Linda host 20 to 25 short-term Missionary Teams each year who work on a variety of church related projects.
