First-Centenary will be returning to Coronado, Costa Rica this summer to continue our ongoing partnership with our missionaries Ray and Lidia Zirkel in their work with the Methodist Church of Costa Rica. Not only do we support the Zirkels financially, but we partner with them providing labor, materials, and financial support for various projects they are involved with in Costa Rica.
In 2017, First-Centenary will have a team working on the Methodist Children’s home (Hogar Metodista) in Coronado, just out of San Jose. Although this is a construction project, no prior knowledge or skills are required and there will be jobs for all who are willing to put forth their best for God. We will also be conducting mini-vacation bible schools at various churches and will be spending a significant amount of time with the children who live at Hogar Metodista renewing our relationships and building new ones.
In true First-Centenary fashion, this team is already shaping up with a cross section of the congregation—every generation, marital status, social status, and political view—all of God’s servants from all three worship services. This team can include up to 20 participants. Please contact Tina Harris at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more.
