This Sunday, June 25, 2017, we will have a parent meeting for everyone planning to go to Blue Knob. If you have not turned in your $50 deposit this is the day to do it. This is an opportunity for parents to ask questions and for us to finalize our group. We will meet right after church in the Youth Lounge. Please bring any payments and forms you haven't turned in yet! We will try to make it as quick as possible!
Here are the dates for the rest of our Pray, Pig, Play events:
June 19th = Bowling
- June 26th = Paintball (If it rains we will go see the movie "Wonder Woman" [PG13]instead.) ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST FILL OUT AN ONLINE WAIVER.
- July 3rd = Biking* (If it rains we will go see "Despicable Me 3" (PG) instead.)
- July 10th = Movies - "Spiderman: Homecoming" (PG13)
- July 31st = Superfly
Then at 9:45am (during the Sunday School hour) we will go up to the sanctuary to rehearse the ceremony. During rehearsal you and your parents will find out where to sit, stand, when to come forward, etc.. We will also make sure we have the spelling of each student's name correct on their certificate and card. As well as parent's names.
Dress nice. We will take a lot of photographs! In fact, plan on staying after the service for group photos in front of the stained glass.

We have a Parent Council Meeting Wednesday May 3rd at 6 pm! If you are a parent and want to share ideas or hear more about what's going on in our youth group then please join us! All parents of youth are welcome!!
Our annual Confirmation Retreat is fast approaching! This is a special retreat exclusively for our Confirmation class. We will travel to Lake Junaluska, North Carolina and spend a weekend attending classes, a museum, and several wonderful restaurants. There will also be lots of free time for the youth to relax and get to know each other.
The cost is $50 and includes two nights lodging and most meals. However, the students will need money for two meals (one on Friday on our way there and one on Sunday on our way home - Scholarships Available).
This year's class is so large we have rented two lodges! They are side by side. Our boys will stay in one and the girls in another.
What to bring:
All students should bring a sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries, clothes, a towel, and a Bible. For more information please contact the church office at: 423-756-2021 (ask for Troy). Cell Phones, iPods/iPads, DSi, etc. are okay but bring at your own risk.
Chaperones for this trip are:
