From August 14-September 14, First-Centenary is bringing you a new kind of Festival of Faith. It’s called (re)Creation, and for four weeks you’ll have the chance to challenge your mind, use your hands, and refresh your spirit.
On Sundays, join us in worship with special guests including Steve Byrum, Tripp Johnston, Don Saliers, and Jim Catanzaro.
On Wednesdays, connect with your fellow First-Centenarians in challenging lecture and small-group discussions, hands on and thought-provoking arts workshops, musical training, and Christian yoga. You have the chance to participate in one, two, or even three classes and workshops every Wednesday evening! Plus, feed your soul with delicious, handmade meals catered by local restaurants.
Throughout (re)Creation, we invite you to meander through the art exhibition that will be set up in accessible areas of the church. Thirty-eight Chattanooga area artists created works of art in response to the well-known hymn, “For the Beauty of the Earth.” These inspiring works represent a broad range of media, from painting and photography to quilting and gourds.
We’ve got activities for kids, too! Kids can make their own terrariums, try their hand at tie-dye, and make their own musical instruments. There’s something for everyone at (re)Creation: explore new ways of thinking, invigorate your creativity, and find your center.
