Reverend Charlotte Brendel

Charlotte received the Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Appalachian State University, Boone, North Carolina.  After teaching band and playing trumpet professionally for many years, Charlotte answered God's call into full-time ministry.  She completed the Master of Christian Education Degree from Pfeiffer University, Misenheimer, North Carolina. Following graduation from Hood Theological Seminary, Salisbury, North Carolina, Charlotte was ordained a Deacon in Full Connection.

After serving churches in Western North Carolina, Rev. Brendel was appointed to First-Centenary United Methodist Church July 2011.  As Minister of Discipleship Formation, Charlotte relates to our adult Sunday School ministry, the Center for Discipleship Formation, Every Member In Ministry, small group ministry, Prime Time Wednesday programs, singles ministry, LAB groups, Bible studies, and other discipleship and spiritual formation opportunities.

Rev. Brendel is married to Leonard Brendel, a retired band director.  They have two adult children. Stephanie and her husband, Brian, live in Woodleaf, NC. Tony lives in Winston-Salem, NC.
