Showing children a little piece of the Kingdom of God is the goal of every Children's Ministry staff member and volunteer at First-Centenary. Sunday School, celebrations of the church year, special events, and summer programs all strive to embrace the creativity and wonder of children and open new doors of exploration and thought. Each child is a beautiful and unique creation and within our programs we strive to provide many different ways for your child to grow closer to God. Come join us as together we learn and grow on this great journey!
Dive below the surface with First Kids this summer! Get ready to venture onto an uncharted island where kids survive and thrive.
We will anchor kids in the truth that Jesus always carries them through life’s storms. This year our little castaways will leave VBS knowing that there is Someone bigger than their struggles . . . Someone stronger than their weaknesses!
REGISTER by May 31 and be entered to WIN an amazing Shipwrecked Surprise! Which we will present to one lucky family during the Closing Ceremony on our FIRST DAY!

First Kids Wednesday Nights
Welcome Back to Wednesday Night!! We know everyone had an amazing summer and with school starting you are excited to jump back into routine. Here at our church you have many fun options to choose from!
Every Prime Time Wednesday we start things off with our family style dinner from 5-6 p.m. (RSVP for food here!) Our nursery opens at 5:30 p.m. for “baby fellowship!” From 6-7 p.m., children are invited to participate in one of the following exciting activities: Clubhouse Bible Adventures for non-elementary children, On the Boat Bible Games for Elementary kiddos, or one of our THREE amazing Children’s Chiro opportunities: Pre-K4-Kindergarten, 1st-2nd Grade, and 3rd-5th Grade.
No matter which option you choose, your child will experience fun, upbeat evenings with their church friends…an absolutely perfect way to destress from the mid-week blues!
Attention moms!! You are invited to join the Mom’s Connection group. Beginning September 6, we will study “Singing in the Rain: Finding Joy in Life’s Ups and Downs” in which we will learn how the Bible teaches us to seek joy, how joy is different than happiness, and how as moms we can model this to our children. We will meet Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11, Room 125. Nursery provided. For more information, contact Vanessa McDaniel (text or call) 423-902-1457.
