Clair Travis

Clair Travis is our new Minister of Youth and College. She will be appointed to First-Centenary at Holston Annual Conference in June. Clair is a 2007 graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary, Washington, DC, where she was a Denit Fellow with a full scholarship. Clair’s Master of Divinity emphasis is Youth Ministry.

Her undergraduate degree is from Furman University, Greenville, SC, where she majored in Music Education and served as Worship Leader for the Wesley Fellowship for 4 years. She was on the Dean’s List for 11 terms, and a member of Kappa Delta Pi Education Honor Society.
Before entering seminary, Clair directed the Hilton Head High School band in Hilton Head, SC and was Youth Summer Intern at Fountain City UMC in Knoxville for 3 consecutive summers and Young Adult Coordinator for a fourth summer. While in seminary, she was Youth Director at Wesley UMC in Alexandria, VA.

She is a Young Adult Representative to the Southeastern Jurisdiction of the UMC. She enjoys biking, guitar, water-skiing, and photography.
