Ault/Pacesetters This class, composed of ninety members of varying ages, meets in the Oak Street Playhouse. Its lessons address the spiritual needs of our contemporary society. Humor is highly prized and lifts the enjoyment level of the lesson. This class supports many outreach projects.

Baker-Newman-Murdoch The teachers use lecture but discussion is stressed, frequently on controversial subjects. The Bible is the basic text with help from books by writers such as William Barclay, Latourette, and Hester. The class supports the Church’s mission program. This is an all male class.

Center/Special This class is for adults who are mentally challenged. The class uses United Methodist materials.

| Common Ground Young single adults, in their 20’s and 30’s, as well as young married couples, enjoy Bible study and great fellowship. Meeting room is the Parlor on first floor. Jayne Griffin is the teacher. |

The Connection (Ages 18 - 24ish) For college students and first career young adults.

Discussion Too! This is a discussion group. It chooses its own material for study. Members read material and share in the discussion.

Hardin This class describes its membership as a fellowship of marrieds and singles mid-30’s to mid-50’s who can be counted on to study, discuss a lot, pray together, welcome visitors, socialize regularly and support First-Centenary worship, programs, and ministry. They pray that their varied approach to study and learning will continually lead to deeper Christian faith and discipleship.

Hodge A lively discussion group of adults who alternate Bible studies with Christian growth literature and generate warm, caring fellowship through monthly dinner meetings, quarterly socials and outreach projects.

Hope Is comprised mostly of couples in their 30’s, 40’s and 50’s with children of varying ages. The class enjoys dynamic discussions relating to the challenges of authentic Christian living in today’s secular society. These discussions are facilitated by various leaders who are primarily members of the class. Class members enjoy the close fellowship and support of the group and plan occasional social get-togethers.

Mohney-Triplett A class of adult women with a diversified range of activities. They enjoy lectures and discussion of the Bible, self-help, or devotional books by contemporary writers and established authors. They support outreach projects.

Morgan This class includes persons of mixed ages and interests. Its lessons are biblically based but life oriented. Its mission is to be a caring, sharing, redemptive fellowship reaching out to others in the name of Christ. Fellowship is expressed through Shepherding groups, supper clubs, and class socials. This class supports many outreach projects.

New Horizons Class members are challenged by the books they read for discussion. There is no need to ask “what is the age of class members?” because this group truly spans the ages. New members and new ideas are always welcome.

Pairs and Spares This class is a group of middle adults engaged in study and fellowship. Various topics are discussed. Many class members have adolescent children and the topic of loving teenagers and fostering spiritual growth are also discussion topics. The class enjoys a fellowship of love and concern interaction as well as social activities. A vital facet of the class is outreach for support of various families or projects.

Seekers Seekers Class is a class of young couples, some with young children, taught by Brenda Neal. Brenda is the wife of our Senior Minister, Charles Neal. Children’s classes and nursery care are provided during Sunday School.

New Perspectives is a class for single adults in the approximately mid-30’s to mid-50’s age range. They have lessons on various faith topics and books, led by a variety of teachers, with discussion and class participation. Room 239

Trinity This class, predominately late 30’s - 50’s, singles and couples, with and without children are mostly working career persons. The discussion group is led by Phil McGregor or a class member. The Biblically based study includes Christian concepts and issues relevant to this age group. The class is involved in community outreach projects.
