Catch the Habitat Spirit!
We know love by this, that he laid down his life for us and we ought to lay down our lives for one another.

How does God's love abide in anyone who has the world's goods and sees a brother or sister in need and yet refuses to help?

Little children, let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.

Litany of Dedication
With gratitude to God who has provided the materials and given us strength to build this house:
We dedicate this home.
To the deep and abiding love that binds the family together:
We dedicate this home.
To the vision, courage, faith and hope that makes life cheerful and harmonious:
We dedicate this home.
To the beauty and order and cleanliness that provide a healthy atmosphere and elevate the spirit of Christian living:
We dedicate this home.
To the training of the bodies, minds and souls of all who live within these walls:
We dedicate this home.
To the work of God's kingdom in the world and in cooperation with the body of Christ, especially to the good work and will of Habitat for Humanity:
We dedicate this home.
To your call upon our lives to embrace one another as brothers and sisters in Christ and to follow him in self-giving service:
We dedicate ourselves, O God.
THANK YOU to all the volunteers who made this home a reality!!!
What is Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga?
Habitat for Humanity and Partner Families
Habitat for Humanity is a Christian based ministry which works in partnership with low income working families presently living in substandard housing in the Chattanoga area. Habitat helps them realize the dream of home ownership by building simple, affordable housing. Habitat uses contributions, volunteer labor and donated materials to build each house. Each carefully screened family is selected to purchase the house through a no-interest loan. They are also required to invest their own labor - sweat equity - into the building of their house and houses of others.
Habitat for Humanity and First-Centenary In addition to construction volunteers, many people are needed to make the project a success. Can you see yourself doing any of the following?
Habitat provides a unique opportunity for First-Centenary members to demonstrate the love and teachings of Jesus Christ by helping such a family in need. Habitat is for Every Member in Ministry who believes that everyone deserves a simple, decent and safe place to live.

- Helping with fund raising activities
-
Making telephone calls to workers
-
Creating posters, etc. to promote the project
-
Making lunches and snacks for workers
-
Providing childcare or transportation for volunteers
-
Helping with activities to encourage youth and children to participate
-
Helping with mailings
-

-
Providing financial offerings
-
Praying for the family and each member involved in the project

How can First-Centenary members serve?
These are just a few of the kinds of volunteer workers needed. What is God calling you to do?
Certainly, a few persons with construction skills are needed, but energetic members who are willing to learn can be taught to do most tasks.
